Ras Al Khaimah Quarry Access Road Thermoplastic Marking
Re-mark 8.6 km of single-carriageway access road serving three RAK limestone quarries, with heavy HGV traffic, dust accumulation and steep gradients. The existing lines had been abraded by quarry-truck traffic within 18 months and the client needed a longer-life solution.
The Challenge
Re-mark 8.6 km of single-carriageway access road serving three RAK limestone quarries, with heavy HGV traffic, dust accumulation and steep gradients. The existing lines had been abraded by quarry-truck traffic within 18 months and the client needed a longer-life solution.
Our Solution
Specified a 4.0 mm hot-applied thermoplastic system (1 mm thicker than standard) with high-build Type II glass beads and added anti-skid aggregate on downhill sections. Preformed thermoplastic hazard arrows and edge lines were used on tight curves to improve night-time delineation for truck drivers.
Execution
Crews worked in 12-hour day shifts, water-blasting and re-profiling the surface before applying 4.0 mm thermoplastic at 190°C. A total of 34 km of line was applied across 8.6 km of road, with anti-skid aggregate broadcast on 3.2 km of downhill sections and 18 hazard symbols installed on curves.

Dubai Sheikh Zayed Road Thermoplastic Re-Marking
Re-mark 14 km of Dubai's flagship Sheikh Zayed Road corridor across 6 lanes plus hard shoulder, upgrading reflectivity to RTA night-driving spec while keeping the highway open during daytime peak traffic. The existing lines had degraded after 5 years of heavy HGV and commuter traffic.
Ras Al Khaimah Specialty Hospital Epoxy Floor
Install a hygienic, seamless epoxy floor across 4,200 m² of a RAK specialty hospital including operating theatres, sterilisation departments, ICUs and isolation rooms. The system had to meet MoHAP infection-control standards, withstand daily chemical disinfection, and be installed without disrupting the adjacent emergency department.
