The Challenge
Install a premium, high-gloss, seamless epoxy floor across 3,800 m² of grade-A corporate office space in Al Khobar's business district during a fit-out programme. The floor had to achieve a uniform mirror finish, low VOC emissions for immediate occupancy, and accommodate raised-access flooring throughout.
Our Solution
Specified a 2 mm self-levelling epoxy system with a UV-stable polyurethane topcoat for gloss retention under direct glazing. A low-VOC variant was selected to allow occupancy within 48 hours of final coat, with the system installed in two colour-banded zones matching the interior design package.
Execution
Slab was tested for moisture, shot-blasted to CSP-3, and primed. The 2 mm self-levelling body coat was applied in two colour zones (graphite and ivory) using notched trowel and spiked roller for de-aeration. The polyurethane topcoat was roller-applied for a uniform high-gloss finish across the full floor plate.
