Sharjah Hamriyah Free Zone Industrial Hazard Marking
Mark hazardous zones, pipe identification and emergency escape routes across a live petrochemical facility in Hamriyah Free Zone Zone 1, with hydrocarbon exposure and ATEX Zone 1 requirements. The facility had to remain operational throughout, with marking applied in classified areas only during permit-controlled shutdowns.
The Challenge
Mark hazardous zones, pipe identification and emergency escape routes across a live petrochemical facility in Hamriyah Free Zone Zone 1, with hydrocarbon exposure and ATEX Zone 1 requirements. The facility had to remain operational throughout, with marking applied in classified areas only during permit-controlled shutdowns.
Our Solution
Applied novolac epoxy and polyurea systems rated for hydrocarbon exposure, with ASME A13.1 pipe banding on 12 km of pipework and photoluminescent emergency escape route marking. All work was sequenced around permit-to-work (PTW) windows, with ATEX-rated equipment used in classified zones.
Execution
Conducted chemical and substrate audit, ground and profiled surfaces to CSP-4, applied novolac epoxy in process zones and polyurea in traffic corridors. Pipe banding was installed on 12 km of pipework per ASME A13.1 colour code, and 2.1 km of photoluminescent escape route was applied with charging-verification testing.
