Re-mark a 3,400-bay surface and deck parking lot at Jeddah's Red Sea Mall with high-UV-resistance and coastal-humidity tolerance, plus EV charging stations, family zones and accessibility bays. The work had to be done without closing the mall during peak weekend trading.
The Challenge
Re-mark a 3,400-bay surface and deck parking lot at Jeddah's Red Sea Mall with high-UV-resistance and coastal-humidity tolerance, plus EV charging stations, family zones and accessibility bays. The work had to be done without closing the mall during peak weekend trading.
Our Solution
Specified a UV-stable solvent-based acrylic line system with preformed thermoplastic symbols for high-traffic durability. Layout added 48 EV charging bays, 72 accessibility bays and 96 family bays, with green tourism-zone wayfinding striping and red VIP zones near the main entrance.
Execution
Crews worked Saturday-to-Wednesday overnight shifts, applying 3,400 bay lines with 48 EV bay boxes (green corner detail), 72 accessibility symbols, 96 family bays and pedestrian walkways with anti-skid hatch. Final layout was surveyed against Jeddah Municipality parking standards.
