The Challenge
Mark an 18,500 m² 24/7 distribution centre in Mussafah Industrial Area with forklift traffic lanes, pedestrian walkways, racking bays and hazard zones without halting goods receipt. The slab had previously been sealed and required surface profiling before any line system would bond.
Our Solution
Specified a fast-cure polyurea two-component line system with full ISO 7010 colour coding — green pedestrian, amber forklift, red hazard, white storage — applied over a shot-blasted surface profiled to CSP-3. The warehouse was divided into 9 zones with each reopening within 2 hours of marking.
Execution
Shot-blasted 18,500 m² with a ride-on blaster, then vacuumed and primed. Polyurea lines were applied at 1.5 mm dry film using an airless striper, with hand-applied chevrons, hatchings and pedestrian crossings. Each zone was barricaded, marked, cured (90 minutes at 35°C), inspected and reopened sequentially.
